A Culinary Journey Awaits!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you enjoyed some well-deserved downtime with your loved ones. During the holidays, I reflected on how long it has been since I shared the story behind Levant and what makes it truly special.

When we opened Levant in 2021, our goal was simple yet ambitious: to create something genuinely different. I believe that cultures, flavours, and ideas can beautifully blend together, just like people do. This belief shapes not only our brand but also my worldview.

The Fusion of Flavors

This philosophy is why pizza and Mediterranean flavours harmonize so well at Levant. It’s a different approach than what most expect, yet it deeply respects technique and tradition. From our four-day fermented focaccia dough to fire-roasted tomato sauce and freshly made parsley pesto, every element is intentional.

The same thinking applies to our appetizers! Our hummus, for example, borrows from French technique by using garlic confit as its base. This creates a rich, umami-driven depth that, in my opinion, stands among the best in the city!

Or take our kunafa. By blending fresh mozzarella with akawi cheese, we elevate its texture and richness without sacrificing the nostalgia and comfort of mama’s kunafa. It’s a delightful twist!

This is only the beginning! I’m excited to announce a short series called “The Throughline.” This series will better explain how Levant (not) Pizza connects food, people, cultures, and identity in a thoughtful and deliberate way.
